Rajon Rondo went off for 44 points in last night's Game 2 loss. He did it in a pair of Nike Air Zoom Hurache 2K4s. This retro model was made famous by the Lakers Kobe Bryant. This model is currently available at all major retailers for $139.99.
I was searching Ebay for shoes recently and found an unbelievable auction for game worn Dee Brown Pumps and a Game Used Jersey. Both items are autographed. The jersey even has a black strap sewn on to show morning for the passing of Celtic's player Reggie Lewis. If you are interested in bidding CLICK HERE.
Last night saw some familiar shoes for the C's. Ray Allen wore the Away colorway of the Air Jordan 2012. Paul Pierce wore the matte black colorway of his signature shoe the Nike Air Legacy 3. Rondo wore the 2011 Nike Hyperfuse in a black colorway with green laces.
KG has been the most exciting player of the entire 2012 Playoffs, however his sneaker game has been on the boring side. Throughout the first round and through Game 4 of the second round, KG has worn the standard colorways of the Anta KG2. In Game 5 he finally broke out something new. The Big Ticket wore a new black and white colorway of the KG2. This ultra clean colorway is the best colorway of the shoe to date.
Ray Allen has been clearly hindered by his bone spurs lately, however his kick game hit a playoff high in Game 4. Ray Ray brought the heat when he wore the Air Jordan 2012 in a green and black colorway. The Air Jordan 2012 has been under utlized by Jordan Brand in the 2012 NBA Playoffs.
Avery Bradley has a tremendous amount of my respect. Sure the Celtics blew a huge lead, but AB dislocated his shoulder, has it popped in and shot his free throws. He is the definition of heart. The polar opposite of the Red Sox. Last night Avery wore a pair of black and green Adidas MisterFly.
Pietrus is a unique character in the locker room and he has been switching up his foot game all through out the 2012 season. Mickael hit the courts last night in a wolf grey/action green colorway of the Nike 2012 Hurache Free BB. The shoe really pops from a distance. This colorway is slated for a spring release and retail for $114.
The Celtics played mean last night to command a 2-1 lead in the series. Paul Pierce wore a matte black pair of his signature shoe the Nike Air Legacy 3 and KG wore the black version of his signature shoe the Anta KG2.
Ryan Hollins is working hard to prove his merit to Celtics fans. Last night he played his best game in a C's uniform. His play stood out and so did his sneakers. Hollins wore the obsidian blue/blue grey/cyber white colorway of the Nike Hyperdunk Low. The sneaker doesn't even come close to matching the uniform, but some how works.
Last night Rajon Rondo debuted a new colorway of the 2011 Nike Hyperfuse. This new colorway featured an all black upper accented with green Swoosh logos. The shoe is held together with a pair of green laces.
Ray Allen returned to the C's for the first time in a long while. He brought some serious playoff heat with him. Last night Ray Ray returned in a Player Exclusive pair of the Jordan Play In These 2s. The shoes featured Ray's "Jumpshot Logo" on the tongues. Let's hope Ray is able to play some more in this series.
Rajon Rondo returned from his one game suspension in a gorge green and white pair of the Nike Ai Zoom Hurache 2K4. This shoe was recently retroed by Nike. Rondo brought the shoe back last night with his triple double.
Celtics big Brandon Bass has yet to catch his stride in the playoffs. Luckily, his feet still look good. B. Ba$$ has been wearing a white and green colorway of the Nike Hyperenforcer in the first two games of the 2012 NBA Playoffs.
