Air Jordan IV Cement's Tie to the Larry Bird

Spike Lee's 1989 movie "Do the Right Thing" features a scene were a man wearing a Larry Bird t-shirt steps on "Buggin' Out's" new Air Jordan IV's. This iconic scene is meant to show the racial climate on 1980's New York. The scene also features on of the most classic Air Jordan sneakers ever made, the Air Jordan "Cement" IV. A retro model of this shoe released today to much fanfare. There were huge lines at sneaker spots all over the country this morning. I was lucky enough to scoop up a pair.

I was watching Celtics Courtside on CSNNE and they were doing a story on Rajon Rondo's recent trip to the Curtis Hall Community Center in Jamaica Plain. Rondo was promoting healthy living for children. Rondo's feet were certainly healthy, as he was wearing the infamous Jordan Cool Grey 11. Rondo is rarely seen in any non Nike shoe.
