Counterkicks.com released these images of the Nike Air Max+ 2009 in a court green colorway. The shoes have an all Flywire upper with a full Air Max 360 unit to cushion. These shoes will hit in spring 2012 and retail for a whopping $170.
Reebok has been releasing shoes like crazy this summer including this new colorway of the "Energy Drink" for your feet, the Zig Slash. This white/dark green colorway is not quite Celtic green but close enough. The shoes are currently available for $100 at Finishline.

Counterkicks.com ran this story today:
"Just in case 19-year veteran Shaquille O’Neal and the Boston Celtics made it to the NBA Finals this season, Li-Ning was prepared with a special edition shoe for the Big Fella. On the news of Shaq’s retirement yesterday via Twitter, Li-Ning gives us a look at the Big Shamrock “Finals” Player Exclusive now."
I think this is the best shoe made for Shaq during his reign with the Celtics, it's too bad they never made it to the court. It makes me wonder if they had any samples plan for release next year? We'll wait and see.

I stumbled across this video of Paul Pierce making fun of the color of his Air Legacy All Star PE's. He wanted to ask Nike and "see went wrong with the dye". He then continues to joke and make fun of KG.
Earlier today, Shaquille O'neal officially announced his retirement from the game of basketball after 19 seasons. The Shaq era in Boston was short and disappointing, but any true basketball fan will appreciate what the man gave to the game. For sneaker heads of my era (I'm 29....damn I'm old), Shaq was a sneaker icon. When he was with Reebok he had some seriously nice signature shoes. Everyone can remember the in store Shaq display's with his size 20 sneaker. The man is and was bigger than the game he played. My personal favorite of his signatures is the Shaqnosis (pictured above). Thanks for the years you gave to the game.
