Sneaker Rewind: Rajon Rondo Reebok ATR Vertical PE

This rare pair of Reebok ATR Vertical's recently hit Ebay. These player exclusive shoes were made for Rajon Rondo to wear in the NBA Rookie/Sophomore Game. Only 5 pairs were released to the public. These sold for a mere $91 on Ebay. Wished I didn't miss this auction, however they are still nice to look at.

Last night Jermaine O'neal wore the Nike Shox Hyperballer PE. The shoe is slated to release this summer. The Nike Air Shox Hyperballer features a Fuse composite upper construction, lightweight Phylon midsole with an Air-based Shox unit at the heel, and a solid rubber herringbone traction outsole.

During last night's game 2 victory, Celtics guard Rajon Rondo could be seen in a pair of Nike Kobe VI shoes.  The pair featured a white upper with icy bottoms.  This clean shoe has a faux snake print upper and is available at most Nike retailers.  One can also create custom colorways of the shoe at NikeID.com.

Ray Allen hit the game winning 3 pointer to put the Celtics up 1-0 over the Knicks. Ray was wearing a player excluive pair of the Air Jordan P.I.T. High Flyer. The Jordan P.I.T. High Flyer is a performance-inspired sneaker that's made with a leather and synthetic upper for an uncompromised fit and support. Other details include a Phylon™ midsole with Vis-Air® in the heel for maximum cushioning, plus Podulon in the forefoot and a rubber sole. Wt. 14.8 oz. The shoe is currently available in general release form on Eastbay.com for $114.99. Who knows, if the C's go all the way, maybe Jordan Brand will release this colorway in Boston.

Playoff Rewind 2010: Rajon Rondo's Nike Zoom Hyperfuse

The playoffs are a magic time for sneaker heads. Players bring out new sneaker models and exclusive colorways that were not seen during the regular season. Last season, Rajon Rondo captured the world's attention with his dazzling play and his out of this world vitory green Nike Hyperfuses. The shoes had yet to be released to the public, but Rajon put them on the map providing more than enough buzz for the model. After the first game he wore the shoes, sneaker blogs were on fire with talk of the Hyperfuse. When the shoes finally released months later, they instantly sold out. The NBA playoffs can make player's careers and act as a launching pad for new shoe models. What does this season's playoffs have in store for us? This writer can not wait to see!!!

New Kicks: Air Jordan 2011 Quick Fuse

The Air Jordan 2011 Quick Fuse is a lighter version of the Air Jordan 2011 using Hyperfuse technology on the upper. The Quick model uses Zoom Air for lighter cushioning with great court feel. These shoes are a possibility for Ray Allen to rock in the playoffs.  As of now these are set to drop in July for $120.

KG's Playoff Anta's

The playoffs are finally here!!!  Today we get to see the unveiling on the Anta KG1 "Larry O'Brien".  The shoes feature a metallic gold upper.  The white trim features the design of the Larry O'Brien trophy.  Let's hope these shoes bring home the trophy they are named after.

The Celtics are set to battle the Knicks tonight and one can rest assure that Knicks superfan Spike Lee will be at every game at MSG. Today we loom back at Ray Allen's feet from the 1998 Spike Lee film "He Got Game".  Ray is seen rocking some Nike Foamposite Pro's.  This shoe re-released this past year.  If you like the check Ebay for your size.

Rare Kicks: Gene Conley Game Worn Signed Converse

I was searching Ebay for sneakers when I came across these rare beauties. You are looking at a pair of signed game worn Gene Conley Converse low tops. Gene played for the Boston Celtics as a forward and Milwaukee Braves pitcher in the mid-1950's. Conley is perhaps best known as the ONLY PERSON to win a championship in two of the four American professional sports. Gin & Satch Sanders Gala "Sneaker" Ball

Support Charity By Wearing Sneakers!!!

On April 15, support Gin and new Hall of Famer Tom "Satch" Sanders' Gala Sneaker Ball to benefit head and neck research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dress up, put on your sneakers, and come to Boston for a night of eating, drinking, and dancing.

Gin Sanders is a five-year survivor of a stage four throat cancer. She is a retired psychotherapist, business owner, public speaker, university administrator, and swimming coach. In her youth, she was a national swimming champion and later became a national United States masters swimming champion in five different events.

Tom "Satch" Sanders is a Boston Celtics legend who played for thirteen years and was a member of eight World Championship teams. He has coached the Boston Celtics and Harvard University. In the 1980s, he owned and operated "Satch's" restaurant in Boston.

The event will be emceed by Fox-25 News anchor Maria Stephanos.
